Evelin Horvath textile- and graphic designer

Over the years, my practice has evolved across different areas of graphic and textile design, shaped by curiosity, experimentation, and a continuous interest in exploring new forms of visual expression.

This portfolio brings together a selection of my work, including textile prints, wool rugs, graphic and packaging design, as well as selected exhibitions. Although diverse in medium and approach, the projects are connected by an interest in material, pattern, composition, and the thoughtful development of visual concepts.

Blue Florals surface pattern design

The textile pattern was also exhibited in Budapest as part of the Design Without Borders exhibition, and was subsequently presented in Bratislava as well.

Patterned Wool Rug collection

In collaboration with Multifelt Factory, I designed a series of custom-patterned felt rugs. I developed and sampled the patterns at the factory, where the felting machines then produced the final rugs.

Gradient Wool Rugs

With the support of the National Cultural Fund of Hungary, I experimented in collaboration with the felt factory on methods of creating colour gradients in wool felt under industrial conditions. The project explored how gradual colour transitions could be achieved through industrial dyeing processes while maintaining the material qualities of the felt.

Budapest Floral Project

For the Texhibition exhibition, I designed a textile pattern inspired by Budapest’s Art Nouveau and Neo-Baroque architectural details. The pattern depicts a dreamlike world where fresh pomegranates and architectural elements are intertwined within a lush, imaginary garden.

Sicilian inspired scarf

This scarf started as one of those ideas we first wanted to make just for ourselves.
We imagined wearing it in our hair on hot summer days, around our necks with white dresses, or tied to a favourite bag while buying tomatoes and pretending we accidentally live in a vintage Italian film. The pattern brings together the things we both love: botanical drawings, Sicilian colors, painted ceramics, tiny parrots, old-world details, and romantic girly things that make everyday life feel a little more beautiful.

Folk Puzzle - interactive rug for kids

My diploma project was an interactive play mat for children, made entirely from 100% wool felt. Inspired by traditional Hungarian cross-stitch motifs, the mat allows children to create patterns by arranging the individual elements according to a pattern book, or simply use it as a playful surface for free play. The project is designed to support tactile exploration and the development of fine motor skills through hands-on interaction.

FRUA Juice Brand

For the FRUA juice brand, we developed the visual identity and created unique labels for each product, featuring hand-drawn illustrations tailored to the individual flavours and character of each juice.

ERINN Skincare

Originally created for a client project, this pattern wasn’t selected in the final direction.
Rather than leaving it behind, we developed it further into a skincare concept where it found a more natural fit.

Pattern Collection for Csillagom kids brand

I continuously design custom textile patterns for the children’s and women’s fashion brand Csillagom. The patterns are individually printed exclusively for the brand on various types of fabrics, with different colour variations and in a range of sizes, tailored to their specific collections and needs.

The Bubble Bar

The Bubble Bar è un brand fittizio che produce saponette ispirate ai cocktail. Abbiamo progettato la confezione traendo ispirazione dalle bolle di un bagno caldo. Il risultato è un design colorato e dinamico che cattura sia l'effervescenza di un bagno che di un cocktail ben fatto. Con profumi e ingredienti che ricordano i drink classici, The Bubble Bar propone un tocco divertente ma elegante alla cura della pelle di tutti i giorni.
