USE-IT map of Viterbo

We designed the layout and illustrations for the USE-IT map of Viterbo. Through this publication, young locals tell Viterbese stories and traditions in a no-nonsense way. The medieval city centre, surrounded by walls and characterised by grey peperino stone, has a unique atmosphere. We wanted to capture this rustic mood while also bringing in some playfulness and colour. For the illustrations, the analogue technique reflects both the city’s traditions such as the legendary Santa Rosa feast and the Etruscan heritage, and its cool, youthful spots that travellers can really enjoy. Of course, in Italy, food plays a big role, but so does nature! The cypress trees, stone pines, and natural thermal waters are all key parts of this landscape; that’s why the plenty of green in the design.
